Glass Art

Awning Stripe

Awning Stripe/DNA [View category]
The inspiration for this group comes from those colorful awnings people used to put up on their summer homes. It evolved into a subgroup entitled ‘dna’ because the design looks like the building blocks of the human body.

Modern Art

Imagine listening to 'Carmina Burana,' staring at a wall poster by Paul Klee, and remembering the sun flowing through the contemporary church windows you saw on your last vacation. This is how I think of work in my 'modern art' group.

Quilts

Quilts [View category]
This group was inspired by the crazy quilts my grandmother made for me as a kid, and my recent curiosity about kente cloth from Ghana.

Tribal

The hand-painted strips of glass assembled in this group have african tribal design as their inspiration.

Organic

Works in this group are flowing and come from nature. Imagine the tall grasses waving in a prairie or the undulating currents in the deep ocean.
